Ultrasound Tech: Angela McDanielThis past month, Angela received this compliment on our survey responses. “I found out I had PCOS and my husband and I were devastated. Angela explained everything to us so well and even scheduled my surgery. I was very emotional and she was emotional as well. She is literally the best and I will never forget that day.” THIS. This is going above & beyond for a patient. Angela, your passion for our patients’ health is appreciated every day.
Our NP, Tarah, works daily with Angela. She remarks that Angela is excellent at her job. She is compassionate, caring and loved by her co-workers and patients! It is an honor and privilege to work along side of her & she is so deserving of the ultrasound excellence award.
OB Nurse: Yesenia Ponce-GonzalezThank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. Yesi has gone above and beyond the past month for our OB office, from coming in early to help things get set up or even staying late when she is needed too. You will never hear a complaint from her she will do whatever it takes to make sure our office runs smoothly. You are so appreciated.
WCAS: Pilar EstradaPilar has been a team player and never complains about anything. She works in central sterile and is always hard working. She is always going above and beyond to asist her coworkers and the surgery center to make things run smoothly. We are blessed to have her as a part of our team!!
Managers: Shara GreerShara Greer very much deserves the Manager’s Excellent Award for May. Shara has been the backbone of our Covington office for the past year and through her leadership has created a warm and friendly environment for our patients.

Front Desk: Tiffany WelchSo many managers have come to me this past month complementing Tiffany and her true genuine attitude. She brings life to anyone she comes in contact with. I have encountered her going above and beyond for patients, and her reasoning to me was that she would want the same adequate care. This is EXACTLY what we want out of all employees.

Nurse: Bonnie JordanBonnie has a high level of proficiency in handling the tasks assigned to her and always crave perfection. Bonnie is a great teacher and an amazing Nurse. Thank you for achieving the target for this month. We are so lucky to have you a part of our team!!!!
Insurance: Kelsi BlackThis past month we had a patient make a trip to our office just to meet Kelsi! The patient was impressed with how helpful Kelsi was when assisting her with her billing issues and just had to meet her. Kelsi also stayed late this past month on a minute’s notice to assist Sherri and I with some spreadsheets that were due the same day. Kelsi is deserving of this award and we are proud to have Kelsi on the insurance departments team.
Howard Diet: Nicole WellsNicole is always doing more and will always let me know what she needs in Diet without having to ask and keeps everything running smoothly in Moultrie! We love Nicole and couldn’t do it without her!

Tracie has been so helpful with our front desk crew. She always is willing to help answer phones, check patients in, or check patients out. Tracie has recently started a system up front to help notify patients of their bill with us and to get payments. It has definitely helped with some of our elderly patients who do not check their emails regularly for billing statements!

- Prater Music Fest on May 5-7. Benefits local businesses and music programs in Irwin County Schools
- Nanci Bowen Charity Golf Event on May 9th. Benefits Hospice of Tift Area and Anita Stewart Oncology Center
- Southern Regional Employee Silent Auction Raffle on May 3rd. A raffle that helps raise over $70,000 for scholarships for students.
- Teacher Appreciation Raffle at JT Reddick. To help show our appreciation for our teachers and everything they do for our student’s and the community.
- Irwin County Hospital Giveaway for National Hospital Week
- Tift County High School Bass Busters. We did a jersey sponsorship to help lower out of pocket expenses for the team. We will have our Howard Center logo on the front or on the sleeves of their jersey. We sponsored a patient’s son, Walton Slaven.
