Volunteer Opportunities!

As you all know, UOG LOVES to give back to the community any way possible whether through monetary donations, giveaways to our patients, schools, and local businesses and by sponsoring different organizations all across the state of Georgia just to name a few!

This time, UOG is wanting to give back to the community by volunteering our time with a wonderful non-profit organization, Peanut Butter & Jesus!

Every other month, volunteers from UOG will spend one Saturday with PB&J and will prepare and deliver lunch bags to underprivileged children, homeless people and elderly adults throughout Tift County!

If you are interested in volunteering, please email Bekka Reese at bekka.reese@howardcenter.com and she will coordinate a Saturday with you and the other volunteers!

We are SO proud to announce that we will be participating in three Back to School giveaways this year! On July 20th, we will be working the back to school drive hosted by the Tift County Rec Department from 6-9pm. On July 22nd, our very own Chelsea Thomas will be having her Back to School drive entitled, The Give Back at Mott-Litman Gym from 12-5pm! And, on Aug 1st, we will be working the Turner County Night Out Against Crime Back to School Event from 6-pm! If you are interested in volunteering at any of these wonderful community events OR if you would like to donate supplies, please reach out to Bekka Reese at bekka.reese@howardcenter.com and for more information about Chelsea’s event on July 22nd, please reach out to Chelsea directly at chelsea.thomas@howardcenter.com!

Howard Center In The Community!

The Howard Center proudly sponsored JoLynn Barrentine in her SJRA rodeo! Great job, JoLynn! We’re so proud of you!
Shout out to our Practice Manager, Jennifer Goode and our Social Media gal, Bekka Reese!

About two weeks ago, Goode had the amazing idea of giving back to the community by donating these cute Howard Center bags to a local women’s shelter here in Tifton and Bekka helped make this idea come to life!

These bags can be used as makeup bags, toiletry bags, small purses, etc! We took these bags to the shelter with a special note for the residents!

Both Goode and Bekka said that it made their hearts so happy and made them feel so good to be able to give to others! Way to go ladies!

The Howard Center will be in the “Keep Tift Beautiful” section of the Tifton Gazette for the month of July! We are so proud and honored to have our beautiful Main Campus selected to be spotlighted!

Helping Those In Need!

Aisha Hill Hope Fund

With the permission of our very own Debbie Hill, we would like to introduce The Aisha Hill Hope Foundation.

This foundation is a charity created in honor of Debbie’s niece, Aisha Hill, who passed passed away in 2020 due to a rare blood disorder called Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). This charity was created to help spread awareness about TTP and to help families with short-term financial difficulties.

Debbie said that they also help other local charities and they accept donations, which are used to help families in need. What amazing way to honor Debbie’s niece, Aisha! If you are interested in donating to this wonderful cause, or if you know someone who could use their assistance, please click on the link below!
