Congratulations Corner!

Johnna’s son, Brady and long time girlfriend, Fallon, got engaged Christmas night! Soon after that, he competed in the International Pro Rodeo finals in Guthrie, OK and won the 4th round! Then ended the year 7th in the world! Johnna, we know that you are one proud Momma! We are so proud of Brady and all of these incredible achievements!

Finley Brock, daughter of Margaret Anne Brock and granddaughter of Sherri Simmons, won an award for her submission in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition at G.O. Bailey Elementary! Congratulations, Finley! We are so proud of you!

Colbie Beth Colson, the daughter of Shelby Colson, made her arrival into the world on February 19th at 8:46 PM weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long! Shelby, Grant, congratulations! She’s absolutely beautiful! Welcome to the world, sweet girl!

Bonnie Simpson’s 14 year old grandson, Brock Simpson, plays baseball for Fitzgerald Middle School! Brock has had an extraordinary season so far and has played a major role in his team’s success this season! Way to go, Brock! We are so proud of you!

Tamisha Glass, sister of Tavashia Harden, graduated from Firefighter School and is also a Certified Paramedic EMT for the South Fulton County Fire Department! Tamisha, thank you so much for your bravery and your service! T, we know that you are so proud of your sister! We are as well!

UOG in the Community

On February 13th, our HR team had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Baoying “Sabrina” Li to our office to shadow them in their department. Sabrina is a Tift County High School FBLA student and foreign exchange student from Shenzhen, China!

It was a morning filled with learning, sharing, and meaningful connections. Kristin and Taishi described the experience as truly amazing and are honored to have been a part of it.

Save the Date

The Run for TTP 5K & 1 Mile run/walk is set for Saturday, April 26th at Tift County Northeast Middle School’s track! This event to raise awareness of TTP (Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Pupura) and is in loving memory and in honor of Debbie Hill’s niece, Aisha Hill. All proceeds will go to the Aisha Hill Hope Foundation.

Provider: Kala Hodges, FNP-CCongratulations to Kala Hodges ,NP, for winning the Provider Excellence Award !! Kala is the Waycross Nurse Practitioner and has many awesome reviews from her patients. She’s partly responsible for helping rebuild the Waycross office. Patients rave about her and the care they receive! It’s difficult to express in a few lines how often Kala goes out her way to help patients! Thank you for all you do!
TWC: Jessica VoorheesJessica is new to our team and has done an amazing job at learning the system and jumping in where she is needed. She has a great work ethic and is always the first one to grab a chart. We appreciate everything you do for us at TWC!
Insurance: Kelly MyersWe were a little short handed this month and Kelly stepped up to help take on the extra duties. As well as assisted with call center issues and question. Thank you Kelly for all your hard work this month!
WCAS: Eric Torres, RNThis month, we are proud to recognize Eric Torres for his outstanding dedication and teamwork. He has truly gone above and beyond to ensure our patients received the care they needed without interruption. During a time when we were short-staffed due to illness, Eric stepped in without hesitation. He not only scrubbed for multiple hysterectomies—preventing cancellations—but also handled patient recovery afterward. His commitment didn’t stop there; he even helped troubleshoot and repair some of our machines that were down, ensuring everything ran smoothly. On top of that, he traveled to Covington to cover shifts, demonstrating his incredible flexibility and willingness to support the team wherever needed. Eric exemplifies what it means to be a true team player, always putting our patients and colleagues first. Thank you, Eric, for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence!
Marketing: Tavashia HardenTavashia has exceeded expectations within our marketing team. Her dedication is evident through her achievement of completing 28 patient appointments for our north offices for February. She had the highest completion on changing women’s lives for the month of February. She has also taken the responsibility of training three new marketers. She also was receptive of additional marketing training. Additionally, during the school break, Tavashia supported our Covington office by ensuring patients were well cared for and keeping the office stocked with snacks for both our GYN and WCAS patients. Her performance clearly demonstrate she’s an asset and she brings so much to our marketing team.
Managers: Callie Tucker, Jessi White, Tanner Brown and Amber TarrantFor February, I’m thrilled to announce that the Manager Employee of the Month award goes to not just one, but four incredible individuals: Callie, Jessi, Tanner, and Amber. Their extraordinary dedication and hard work made it impossible to choose just one. Each of them went above and beyond by staying late to help set up Warner Robins. They did it all—from decorating and assembling furniture to moving heavy items around. Despite the long hours and late nights away from their families, their unwavering commitment ensured that Warner Robins opened successfully. I am incredibly proud and grateful for their efforts. Without their dedication and teamwork, Warner Robins would not be open today. They truly deserve this recognition. Congratulations to all four of them! 🎉
Nursing: Emily TorresWe are thrilled to announce that Emily Torres is our MA Employee of the Month for February! Emily has gone the extra mile with helping train our new hires, ensuring their success in their new roles. She has provided them with guides that she has made to better help them understand everything from how to navigate the EMR system to key questions and points to better understand each patient’s needs. All the tools and guidance they need to excel. Additionally, Emily has been an incredible team player, contributing significantly to making each office run more efficiently. Emily, we cannot thank you enough for the numerous blessings you have brought to our team. Your dedication and hard work make you an invaluable teammate, and we are truly grateful to have you on board.
Howard Diet: Jennifer GutierrezThis month’s Howard Diet Employee of the Month is Jennifer Gutierrez. Her dedication to patient care is exceptional. Jennifer goes out of her way to assist patients with directions to various appointments, always with a smile and without complaint. Despite the challenges of a hectic month with transitions and renovations, Jennifer remains a reliable presence, ensuring the Diet Center runs smoothly and patients are well cared for. Her positive attitude and kindness make a big impact, and her efforts are greatly appreciated. Congratulations, Jennifer – you truly deserve this recognition!

For the past 4-5 months, Sara Flanders has been covering the front desk at our Warner Robins office, and she has truly become an invaluable asset to our practice. She consistently goes above and beyond to assist the medical assistants (MAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) with patient call tasks, ensuring smooth operations. Sara also diligently follows up on nurse call-backs, exemplifying her teamwork spirit. She remains on top of patient appointments and schedules, contributing to our efficiency. Despite the hour and 45-minute commute from her home, she has never expressed any complaints or negativity. Sara truly embodies what it means to go above and beyond.
