UOG in the Community

May 7th was National School Nurse Day! On that day, we gifted our local school nurses to Bogg Bags as a token of our appreciation and to celebrate the ones who care for children with compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication.

From tummy aches to tough days, they are always there with a gentle hand and a kind heart! Thank you for being the everyday heroes who nurture the health and well-being of our future leaders.

On May 12th, we were proud to serve as Platinum Sponsors of the Nancy Bowen Golf Tournament yesterday, hosted by Hospice of Tift Area!

Congratulations to all the winners, and a heartfelt thank you to Team Howard Center for representing us so well on the course!

We were honored to be Diamond Sponsors at this year’s Champions of Hope Sporting Clay Tournament hosted by RCPCH!

Our Tifton provider, Mandy Tomberlin, along with her family, and our very own, Dr. Kaylar Howard, proudly represented Team Howard Center at the event — and they didn’t just show up, they showed out!

Marketing: Ali FosterAli Foster has truly excelled this month, earning well-deserved recognition as Marketing’s standout team member. She took initiative in training our newest member for Athens, ensuring a smooth transition and setting her up for success. Not only did Ali demonstrate leadership, but she also achieved one of the highest completion rates for May—without a single error in recording her PTS in HIS and Prime. Her dedication and precision make her an invaluable member of our team. We deeply appreciate her contributions and celebrate her well-earned recognition!
Provider: Mandy Tomberlin, FNP-CCongratulations to Mandy Tomberlin NP for winning the Provider Excellence Award for May .
Mandy has been the Howard Center since 2014. Years of experience and expertise in women’s health has made her a valuable asset.
Recently I’ve encountered her compassion for her patients. Having to tell a patient she could possibly have cancer is one of the most difficult things to do.
Staying professional is very important but seeing her tears behind the scenes makes you realize how important she is! Thank you, Mandy!
Front Desk: Alex LambAlex Lamb has consistently gone above and beyond in the Month of May. She has been assisting at the front desk during the day. She has helped train new employees. All while efficiently managing her referrals. Additionally, she has traveled to outside offices to cover the front desk. She has been eager to lend a hand in any way she can. Thank you Alex, keep up the great work.
TWC: Belinda HillBelinda has taken it upon herself to come up with new ways to help new MAs coming to TWC. She made a training book with pictures to help nurses with writing up lab orders for different locations and for how to setup for different procedures. We appreciate all of your hard work!

Her efforts will not only improve staff efficiency but also enhance patient safety and satisfaction. Beyond that, Haley is the heart of the team—always lifting up her coworkers and making sure there’s a smile on everyone’s face. Thank you, Haley, for your leadership, positivity, and commitment to excellence!
Manager: Katie HayesFor the month of May, we are proud to recognize Katie Hayes as the Manager of the Month! Katie has shown incredible dedication, working the Howard Diet entirely on her own for a full month. She has persevered through challenges such as strong paint fumes, ongoing reconstruction, and remodeling—circumstances that might have led others to complain. Yet, Katie has remained steadfast, committed, and fully engaged without any assistance. Her resilience and hard work make her truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Katie!
