Howard Center in the Community

Our friends at Irwin County Middle School wrote a huge thank you note to Dr. Drew and Dr. Kaylar thanking them for their donation of $400 to Mrs. Walker’s Class! With the Howard’s donation, the children were able to open a coffee shop where they sell coffee, cookies, brownies and more!

We also Sponsored…

  • Irwin County Football for Tye Pope
  • Jay Deason Golf Tournament – Raises money for a variety of causes aimed at improving the lives of our local youth.
  • Tift Council for the Arts – Diet Basket and MK purse for the Gala’s Silent Auction
  • Turner County Young Farmers Event – Donated a MK Purse
  • Harts of Teal – Donated MK Purse and Diet Basket as door prizes for Hospital Staff
  • Sponsored the Prater Music Festival in Ocilla, GA

Our Tifton Marketer, Bekka Reese, volunteered at the Teen Maze at Crisp County High School on March 29th and March 30th.

Congratulations to our Excellence Award Winners and our Shining Star! Thank you for everything you do to make U.O.G. GREAT!

Marketing: Rachel HodgeI so appreciate and value your dedication, talent, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. You gave up a week with your family to be in Covington to help market and then came back to your team in Warner Robins and continue to shine. You got into two brand new distribution centers no other marketer has been able to get into. Then, you still ask what can I do? You are such an asset to our UOG family. Congratulations!
Tifton Woman’s Center: Keria WrightKeria is one of our Medical Assistants and has done an amazing job at learning how we do things at TWC. She has only been with us a short time but has gotten multiple compliments from patients and our providers. She is so sweet and helpful to everyone. Thank you for making the TWC team as great as it is!
Managers: Jennifer GoodeShe has definitely stepped up and went above and beyond this past month. When I asked her to be my temporary Front Desk manager she did it without hesitation. She is always a team player and does whatever we ask of her. The company is more successful because of Jennifer and I am very grateful for her.
Ultrasound Techs: Anna MettendorfAnna has gone above and beyond for The Howard Center this month. Everyday she has helped cover the front, diet, completed surgery packets and worked up patients. Hannah brags on Anna all the time. Hannah has told me numerous times that Anna is literally her right and left hand. She juggles many different job responsibilities and we are so thankful for all she does for us.
OB MA’s: Laura WeeksLaura has shown a true definition of a team player this month. She has done whatever she can to make our departments run smoother. From Helping out with GYN, covering the front desk, even stepping up in diet when she could help out. I don’t know what we would do without her. Thank you for all that you do Laura.
Provider: Kristi Freeman, NPCongratulations to Kristi Freeman, NP for winning the Provider Excellence Award! Kristi is very dedicated to the care of her patients in Albany, Tifton, and Warner Robins! She goes above what’s expected to care for the patients in all three clinics. Calling and making sure everything went as planned. That is dedication and we appreciate all of her hard work! Thank you Kristi!
Front Desk: Madison HarperShe is always willing to jump in where help is needed, whether it be training, viewing and rescheduling patients if needed due to scheduling issues or offering to stay late when needed. She is always working on something and never sitting still. We are very lucky to have Madison!
Medical Assistants: Gracie BrumfieldGracie Brumfield has excellent communication and teamwork skills that make the workplace a positive environment for the co-workers and patients. Gracie always volunteers to do additional tasks in the office and assists those that need help! We are so lucky to have you! You are an amazing nurse!
Howard Diet: Heather WelchThe Howard Diet employee of the month would be Heather Welch in our Valdosta location. She deserves this award! She always steps in to help when needed! We are very thankful for her hard and dedication. Thank you Heather!

Tracey Carter, PCT
Women’s Center for Advanced Surgery
$250 and a Trophy!

Tracey Carter, PCT is the WCAS Employee of the Month. Tracey’s hard work and dedication to our Surgical Center helps ensure that our patients receive great care with a special personal touch. She exhibits great communication skills with our patients as well as their families, and she is usually on a first-name basis with them. Her sense of humor often helps our patients relieve pre-op jitters through laughter. And they know who Tracey is because she always greets them with a smile and by saying “My name is Tracey and I’m going to help take care of you today.” As one patient recently wrote, “You need more staff like Tracey.” We are truly blessed to have her as part of our WCAS TEAM. Thank YOU Tracey!
