Congratulations to this beautiful family!! Our Jessica Garcia from TWC gave birth to this beautiful baby girl on New Year’s Day! Jessica said that she was the first baby born at Southwell Medical for 2024!

We are beyond excited to partner with Tiftarea YMCA and help create this beautiful Women’s Only Workout Area! Women’s empowerment and women’s health are our top priorities at The Howard Center and we are proud to be a part of this incredible opportunity!
Our Glammo Mammo Fairy made her public debut at Tift County High School along with our new cheesecake bar lay out on January 18th!
Our purse winner from that health fair was Ms. Tammy Carter and she was an absolute gem! Everyone was! We had a blast and the faculty and staff loved our Glamorous Fairy!
Cervical Cancer Awareness Month!
Our Tifton staff members sported their Teal ribbons and bracelets during the month of January to show their support for those fighting Cervical Cancer, honoring those who have lost their battle to Cervical Cancer and to celebrate those who have beaten Cervical Cancer!
We are soldiers and our goal is to Combat Cervical Cancer!
T-Shirt Fridays are Back!!
T-Shirt Fridays are back at The Howard Center and we are SO excited about it! Every Friday, you guys, our Howard Center Tifton location will wear our new Glammo Mammo T-Shirts to support and promote our beautiful Glammo Mammo Suite!On the front, it reads, “Glammo Mammo” with our new Fairy branding and on the back, it says, “We put GLAMMO in your MAMMO!”
HooHoo Sister’s Night!
Mark your calendars! The next HooHoo Sister’s Night will be next Tuesday, February 13th here in the break room at Main from 05:30 – 07:30! It’ll be Valentine’s Day themed so wear your pink and red accessories and bring all of the love! We can’t wait to see you there!
January Employees Excellence Award Winners and Our Shining Star!
Management: Nicole JonesThis past month Nicole has gone and above to get her medical assistants trained. She created and taught classes to her MA’s in order for them to be better prepared. After they take the classes, Nichole is testing their knowledge by giving them exams. Nichole has started a training program on her own and we are very excited about the knowledge this will bring to our team members. Way to go Nichole!!!
Nursing : Paige HardyPaige is our Douglas Nurse! Thank you for stepping in and covering for Waycross due to us being short staffed. Paige professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile provided an excellent experience for our patients and helped us maintain our high-quality standards. We are grateful for your hard work, Paige!!
Marketing: Lindsey DialLindsey – You and your dedication is so appreciated. Would like to say a big “THANK YOU” for taking on being the Athen’s MA for the month of January along with helping the NPs in the north locations. Thank you for everything you have done this far for our UOG offices. Your work is commendable and proud to have you on the UOG team and part of the UOG family.
Surgery Coordinatorq: Shelly MartinezShelly is such an asset to our UOG family. Shelly has stepped up as always but this month she took over taking all calls from the NPs, and helped MA in Waycross while being short or allowing others to have a day off and filling in. She is always will to help clean, stock, MA, surgery coordinator, cover lunch for front desk and do whatever the NPs need. She does all this without hesitation. She is such a team player and it is so appreciated by all of us.
Insurance: Shelby HardyShelby was chosen for employee of the month for January. Shelby helps stay in close contact with our front desk in regards to all Medicare and Medicaid questions. She helped develop a system for pellet pts, prepaid funds, be applied to their accounts before pts receive a bill. Shelby has also helped to researching contracts and agreements. I appreciate her because every time she is asked to help out she always is up for the challenge.
Ultrasound: Rebekah DavisRebekah has gone to infinity and beyond this month. She has worked on her off day due to being short staffed and traveled to other locations to work. She handled TWC by herself several days this month. Thanks for your hard work Rebekah.
Provider: Hannah Vickers, NPCongratulations to Hannah Vickers NP for winning the Provider Excellence Award for January! Hannah is dedicated and loyal to the Howard Center and our patients. She always stays positive and spreads her positive attitude throughout the entire office. She is a great team player and always gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. Thank you Hannah!
TWC: Keira WrightKeira is such a sweet person to work with. She is always soft spoken and smiles at everyone she comes in contact with. Keira works upstairs alone as Maria’s main nurse and she normally has a lot of her plate. She does it all from injections, blood draws, IVs, NSTs while having a smile on her face. We appreciate everything she does for TWC !
Howard Diet: Janier EngramThe Howard Diet Employee of the Month goes to Janier Engram. Janier has been with us a few months now and has learned a lot in the Diet Center, she makes sure the rooms are stocked up, shots are replenished and takes care of our patients! Thank you for all you do, Janier! We appreciate you!

Taylor Turner has truly gone above and beyond this month! She is the front office coordinator for our Waycross clinic. This month she has taken it upon herself to help ALL OUTLINING CLINICS. She has been responding to patients texts from every location when she sees that they have not been answered. She has helped send records if anyone needed help. She has shined bright the month of January! Taylor, Thank You for all you do for our company. We are blessed to have you!
