Congratulations!

We are so proud of our pharmacist, Melinda Fowler!! She has achieved the professional rating of Dermatology/Wound/Scar (DWS) Specialist by completing a rigorous program of study, Comprehensive Core Concepts in Compounding, offered by PCCA. The course includes foundational concepts in dermatology, wound healing and scar management and specialized study of skin anatomy and physiology, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne, onychomycosis and warts pathophysiology.

Samantha Douglas and Kelsi Black have been PROMOTED to Co-Managers of the Insurance Department!! Sam says her favorite part about insurance is “Following through a claim and making sure that it gets paid. Making sure that we get paid helps make our company be able to function and our paychecks to come into fruition.” Kelsi’s favorite part about working insurance is “having to be a mini investigator. Claims don’t always get processed right away & they’ll require additional information or are just denied completely, & I love when I have to investigate to find out why the insurance company denied it. It’s like a small reward when you finally figure everything out!” We are so blessed to have these two on our team and are so proud of them for all their hard work! They are so deserving of this promotion!

New Class Offered at Howard Center!

Remember our OB providers and midwives are teaching a class twice a month on every other Thursday for pregnant women in their 3rd trimester! They had their first class August 25th!! There will be another class next week on September 8th.

Excellence Awards

Provider: Hannah RevellCongratulations to Hannah Revell NP for winning the Provider Excellence Award!
Hannah is very dedicated to the care of her patients in Warner Robins! She always puts her patients first and loves doing women’s health. Hannah has great reviews and her patients only want to see her . We are so proud of this team at the Warner Robins office for winning Gold Best Women’s Clinic 2022 “Best of Middle Ga by Nerus Strategies”

Ultrasound: Anna MettendorfAnna has showcased her knowledge, skills, and abilities in areas of various roles in our office. This month, Anna immediately offered to train the new MA herself upon hire and helps work up patients as well. She has stepped up and taken over the WCAS packets and does them daily. She always puts our patients first. Anna is always there for the providers to make sure their day flows smoothly by completing any task, phone calls, or patient visits that need assistance. Thanks for all your hard work Anna!

Tifton Woman’s Center: Mackensie TaylorMackensie has only been with our company a short amount of time but she has gone outside of her job on multiple occasions to help out her coworkers. Mackensie is always eager to help out and learn new things in the office and has been a great help up front. The other day she did not have anything to do and noticed painters tape was still in the windows in the lobby so she went about pulling tape from all the windows. We love having Mackensie’s uplifting spirit in our office!

Howard Diet: Christian DotsonChristian has progressed well since she started with us 5 months ago. She has took on learning and doing the FMLA paperwork as well as keeping up with the fast pace in the diet center! We love Christian’s goofiness and don’t know what we would do without her!

Nursing: Sierra SmithSierra is an amazing nurse. You have shown perseverance, dedication, and devotion to your patients and coworkers. You have persevered through hard times and always kept a positive attitude. Well done! I am very proud of your performance and grateful for the efforts you put forth. We are so proud of you!!

Marketing: Taishi McLeodTaishi McLeod has worked so hard and pushes her ability to build up our Valdosta office. She continues to bring in new patients along with keeping a relationship with them. She is always going above and beyond for the office. She helps whenever and wherever she is needed in the office. Always in awe of her skill and commitment to the Howard Center. She is truly awesome!

Insurance: Erica AguirreErica has endured a lot of change in our Insurance Department this past month. She has embraced the changes without hesitation. For the past four weeks she has stepped up to teach and assist her new follow coworkers. It’s not always an easy task being a teacher but she has done an outstanding job of it. The Insurance department is blessed to have her!

Kelsi is one of our newest members of the Management team. Her outstanding leadership qualities and ability to adapt to the many changes in our insurance department has earned her this award. This past month she has stepped up and took control of her team. Going out of her way to teach the other team members the ins and outs of insurance. Making herself available and accessible for the endless questions. She’s worked very long hours this past month to insure we stay on top of everything and has never complained. We are proud of Kelsi on how she has taken charge of our new insurance team.

August Sponsorships

Turner County Sheriff’s Dept- The Howard Center set up a booth for National Night Out Against Crime. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. The Howard Center donated over 2,000 school supplies and 300 water bottles for students.
Dancing with the Southern Stars- Sponsored Team 6, Allie Dixon and Patrick Simmons. DWTSS is an event to benefit Magnolia House, a shelter for abused persons and Satilla Advocacy Services.
The Tifton- Tift Co. Public Library Foundation- Gold Sponsor for A Night of Jazz event, which raises money for reading programs for youth.

JT Reddick- Donated 300 water bottles for the students to use throughout the school year.
Plight, Inc.- Donated 30 water bottles for members when they attend their Plight Retreat.
Irwin County ICHS Cheerleaders- Did an ad for Baylee Prescott
Turner County Booster Club Crisp Academy Golf Tournament- Raises funds for 8th grade to take a trip to Washington, DC to learn about history
