June Excellence Awards

OB Nursing: Shala WynnShala is new to the OB department. She has grown and opened up so much this past month when it comes to our patients. She is always willing to help out in any way she can. The patients love her and love that she makes them feel so welcome. Thank you for your hard work Shala; OB appreciates everything you do!!!
Provider: Janet BooneWe are proud to have Janet back at the Howard Center.
She has been very dedicated to the care of her patients Waycross, Valdosta and Tifton. She’s eager to cover other clinics and is proficient in her skills. We are blessed to have her and appreciate all her hard work .
Insurance: Halee Taylor and Ashlee BusbinThe dynamic duo Halee and Ashlee! I cannot brag on them enough, they have truly stepped up their game this month. We are restructuring the insurance department and new stuff can be scary, but they have tackled every thing I have given them like a champ. So proud to have them as a part of our team!
Manager: Jennifer HarvinThis past month we have been short handed in our maintenance department. Jennifer knowing this has done several things that out maintenance department would normally do, one of them was installing a new mailbox! This is a great way of leading by example and she took the statement of “that’s not my job” completely out of her vocabulary. Proud to have her on our team!
Marketer: Lizzy ClarkeLizzy Clarke always goes above and beyond what’s expected of her. Her work and dedication is outstanding! She has been marketing for Douglas and Waycross by herself. She has been building these two clinics diligently. She has taken the past four weeks training our new Waycross marketer and killing it! So blessed to have Lizzy part of our UOG family!
Diet: Carlisa BarnhillThe Howard Diet Excellence award for this month goes to Carlisa Barnhill. Carlisa has been with us for a few months now and has already shown so much dedication in what she does! She is always willing to learn, and always has the best attitude towards everything! We are lucky to have Carlisa on our Howard Diet team! ❤️
Tifton Woman’s Center: Dina HerrenDina is always putting her patients first no matter what. Even when she was on vacation across the country this past week she was communicating with her patients and reviewing results. Dina is always making sure each patient is taken care of even after they leave her exam room. She is always the one to lift our spirits and get things done regardless of how crazy our schedules get! Our patients love Dina and Tifton Woman’s Center would not be the same without her on our team!

Kaytlyn Varnadoe
Ultrasound
Trophy and $250 Cash!!!

Kaytlyn reflects everything this award recognizes. This month, Kaytlyn has played a major role in training our new ultrasound tech. She is always willing to jump in & help our other two offices in Tifton when needed. This month, we have had several cases that are not typical findings in everyday scanning. She has followed those cases until their surgeries not only because she genuinely cares for her patients but to learn from the diagnosis/pathology. Kaytlyn worked in Albany this month for a week & took initiative in learning how to answer calls & schedule patients at the front desk. She is an excellent team player.

  • Irwin County Hospital H.E.A.R.T Golf Tournament- Hole in One Sponsor 
  • Womanless Beauty Pageant- Sponsoring contestant Ricky Young. This event helps raise money for Magnolia House, an organization dedicated to empower victims of family violence to become safe and self-sufficient by providing a safe environment and instilling hope through advocacy, information, partnerships, and services that promote economic and family stability. 
  • Colquitt County High School- ¼ page ad in the Football Media Guide. These guides will be sold to help decrease expenses. 
  • Tift County Band Boosters- Full page ad in the Football Media Program to help decrease player expenses. 
  • Southern Elite Allstars- Sponsored a patient’s daughter, Khloe Jackson at the “Black Back Spot” level. 
  • Southern Elite Allstars- Sponsored a patient’s daughter, Doll Poole at the “Black Back Spot” level. 
  • Tift County Football Cheerleading-  Sponsored Alayka Farley at the Gold Level Sponsorship from Tifton Women’s Center.
