New Year, New WCAS

The end of 2020 just marks the beginning of what will become our new surgery center. WCAS is getting a full makeover complete with new equipment, a larger area, and a new OR. WCAS opened in April of 2013 and with one OR we were performing 10 surgeries a week. Now in January of 2021 and with 2 OR’s, we are able to perform 150 surgeries a week. We have been blessed to be able to add more surgeons, employees, types of surgeries, and days of operation!

WCAS has come a long way in a short time and it’s all due to the dedication and passion we have to help the women around us. WCAS is the source of so many changed lives for women, and soon we will be able to change even more. As we grow in this expansion, we are honored to pride ourselves on still giving patients the one-on-one care that they received from the very beginning.  So cheers to WCAS and a year of growth, health, and changing women’s lives!

      What’s new?

      • Our Covington Office will have its grand opening this month!

      • It’s a New Year! Our resolution as an office should be to continue to provide our patients with the best care they can find!
      • Keep your stations extra clean – Covid numbers are rising, we want to protect our patients.

      Excellence Awards

      Ultrasound: Alexis FrazierAlexis does an amazing job! She comes to work everyday and helps her coworkers and nurses at main cleaning rooms and getting patients back so they don’t have a wait time. She helps cover in the outlying clinics and does an amazing job! She has a super sweet personality and always makes sure her patients are comfortable and well taken care of!
      Front Desk: Andreasus EasonDee has been awesome at winning our patients over as soon as they come through the door. This month she has been called extra sweet, kind, nice, friendly, professional, helpful, cheerful, excellent, special, welcoming, wonderful, happy, upbeat, pleasant, informative, and awesome! I’m honored to have her on my team! She has also brought 56 patients in on the SAME day throughout this month!
      WCAS: Melissa DunnMelissa worked really hard to help get me the stuff we really needed to get that second OR up and running. She is always willing to do whatever it takes to help in any way.
      Insurance: Sienna HuberSienna stepped up this month and expressed she was interested in learning anything she could to help while Lisa was out. Sienna has done a great job at catching OB patients that do not have the proper financial waivers, noting the accounts, and making sure the front desk knows what the patient needs. Sienna is always on task and takes pride in her work!
      Nurse / Howard Diet: Brandy GarciaBrandi Garcia is one of the most hard working and dedicated employees you will find. She helps out where every she is needed at a moments notice. She has been my rock while her supervisor has been out. Brandi has gone above and beyond, and even come in on her off days to make sure that everything runs smoothly!
      TWC: Jelicia WilliamsJelicia always makes our patients feel like they are right at home. She is always helping others. There is not a day that goes by that she is not willing to learn as much as she can.
      Housekeeping: Sandra GonzalezSandra is a dedicated and hard working employee. She is sweet and always willing to help. She always goes above and beyond performing her duties.
      HC Nurse: Gracie ArzolaGracie is the best at triage. When she is off she catches up on paperwork and does not once ever complain. She makes sure all calls have been taken care of before the end of the day. She is very quick at calling and taking care of our patients. She will get pulled to translate for the providers and event though her work gets backed up she always gets the job done without a single complaint. When she is free, she will check with her coworkers to see if they need help. She is truly such a team player!
      Nurse Practitioner: Rose SmithRose’s dedication to her patients is unmatched. If her patient is going through a health crisis she goes through it with them. You will never find a more caring provider than Rose Smith. This past month she has put extra effort into learning new technology that will improve our office. It is rare to find a person so devoted, not only to her patients but to the practice itself. Rose has a big personality and BIG voice which shows off her passion for taking care of people. She more than deserves this award!!!
      Manager: Jessica RobisonJessica absolutely does it all and knows it all. Definitely one of the hardest workers in this company, it’s hard to keep her still! She is my right hand and whenever I have a problem she is one of the main people I can count on to help solve it. She works long hours calling Covid patients nightly to make sure they are okay. Our physicians trust her, our staff believes in her, and our patients adore her!!! She is one of a kind and I cannot sing her praises loud enough! The entire UOG family is blessed to have her.
