UOG in the Community!
The Howard Center had two successful back to school drives one week apart from each other! The first drive was in Tift County on July 25th and the other was in Turner County on July 30th! We had the opportunity to give away 900 bags filled with school supplies to families from Tift, Turner and other surrounding counties! It’s such a heart warming experience to be able to give back to families in our communities and to put smiles on people’s faces! Of course, none of this would be possible without Dr. Drew and Dr. Kaylar!
2024 UOG Olympics!
We kicked off our inaugural season of the UOG Olympics on July 29th and we have had a BLAST seeing the outfits that you guys have come up with! All of this Red, White and Blue reminded us of the 4th of July….it made us want a hot dog real bad!
We’ve had competitions that ranged from Most Patriotic, best TikTok dance and lip synce to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” to best waiting room and telephone etiquette!
Who will be crowned the 2024 UOG Olympic Champion from each category!? Stay tuned to find out!
Until then, keep partying in the USA and keep cheering for Team USA in the Paris Olympics!
“Let’s Pull Together”
We are reaching out to everyone to ask for your support in this local “Let’s Pull Together” fundraiser, where we will be collecting aluminum can tabs for Katelyn Stone, a young woman from Adel who is awaiting her second heart transplant. The can tabs will be turned in for cash to help with medication, gas to and from appointments, lodging for the family, meals, etc.
Katelyn and her family will be visiting Tifton frequently in the coming months, as Katelyn plans to attend ABAC, health permitting. Her mother, Katrina, mentioned that if you are unable to collect can tabs but still wish to contribute, you can make a monetary donation to their family via Venmo at KatrinaDStone84.
Your participation in this fundraiser would make a significant difference for Katelyn and her family during this challenging time. Let’s come together as the amazing and giving UOG Family that we are and show our support for a family in need.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to Bekka Reese, or Katrina Stone directly at 229-560-7880!
