Peer Shout Outs!

UOG in the Community!
Our Tifton marketer, Savannah and our Valdosta marketer, Kristina, had such an AMAZING time at their health fair at Wild Adventures on June 11th!
Not only did they get to hold a baby alligator and feed a giraffe, but they got the opportunity to meet with so many incredible people and speak with them about the importance of women’s health!
Sounds like a pretty great day if you ask us! Savannah, Kristina and everyone here at The Howard Center, would like to personally thank Wild Adventures for allowing our ladies to come and speak to their staff and for being such hospitable hosts to them while they were there!

Despite the scorching temperatures on June 14th, our Covington marketer, Rhonda, walked around the Famous Covington Square (yes, the one from Vampire Diaries!) to introduce herself and spread the word about The Howard Center!
With Howard Center water bottles and various promo items in hand, Rhonda made sure to let everyone visiting the square know that The Howard Center is here in Covington, ready to take care of all their women’s health needs.
Thank you, Rhonda, for your hard work and dedication! You are appreciated!

Juneteenth
The Howard Center proudly acknowledged Juneteenth, a day dedicated to honoring a pivotal moment in American history. This important day marks the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the United States, following the end of the Civil War.
At the Howard Center, we recognize the significance of Juneteenth and its lasting impact on our community and nation. We are committed to celebrating and educating about this historical event, fostering an environment of understanding, respect, and unity.

Food Truck Friday!
A new tradition has started! Food Truck Friday….every Friday! Who doesn’t love Fridays? It’s like, the best day of the week, right? And when you add a Food Truck to the mix, it just makes it that much better!
In June, The Howard Center in Tifton had 3 amazing Food Truck vendors pay us a visit! First, was Big Jake’s Que, then 3 Beards BBQ and then Wisham’s BBQ!
What a treat! And, while our patients and visitors were here to get food, we encouraged them to beat the heat by going inside to schedule the annual exams and mammograms!
We look forward to the vendors that will come to see us in the month of July!

Helping a family in need
Our Lawrenceville front desk receptionist, Lorena Torres’ family members are currently in the hospital and are in critical condition, the doctors are doing their best to keep them stable but have a long process ahead of them and several surgeries both of them would need.
Lorena has asked that we please share the GoFundMe link with you all and she and her family as asking to please keep them in your prayers , if anyone can donate or even share. Anything will help!
